About the Author

My name is Beleza em Pessoa. I’m Mozambican, and I believe that true beauty lies in authenticity and in the courage to tell real stories. Throughout my life, I’ve witnessed many of my fellow countrymen migrate in search of what they call better living conditions. Each finds their own path: some follow legal and transparent routes, while others choose alternative — and sometimes illegal — means.

Unfortunately, the latter often end up damaging the reputation of those who have always acted honestly — both when leaving home and in how they live and work abroad.

In this blog, I share these realities with depth and respect. I bring forward true stories, reflections, and experiences of those who live between borders — legal and illegal, hope and hardship. I believe that telling these stories is a way of giving voice to those who are not always heard.
